Speciality Programmes
French
The classes at CMA are bilingual, meaning that material is presented in both English and French.
Students are encouraged on a daily basis to respond to their teacher in French in any situation.
In the beginning, the teacher prompts the students until they are able to respond on their own.
By the time that students reach junior elementary, they are able to follow most of their lessons in
French.
Beginning in elementary, students receive as many lessons in French as possible.
For students who have more difficulties learning the language, they are given lessons at their
pace and abilities. Students who have been at CMA throughout their school career should be able to
enter a high school immersion programme.
